Seth the Shark
Seth, 7 1/2, just recently lost his first two teeth. I guess "lost" isn't the most accurate description. The dentist extracted them

Double Digits
We celebrated Josh's 10th birthday last week. He had a great birthday: Disneyland with friends in the morning (thanks Sarah!!!), browsing the Lego Store at Downtown Disney for a while, In & Out for lunch, playing with the presents he opened at breakfast (including Legos of course), yummy dinner, staying up late for a Star Wars movie night, and Lego cake and ice cream. Since cake decorating is not my forte, I appreciate his simple request of another Lego cake (4th year in a row now?).

Telluride
After returning from our trip to Utah, we spent a few days recovering and then preparing for the next trip. Chris, Blake and I went to Telluride, Colorado for my brother's wedding. It was a quick trip with about half of our time spent traveling, but we enjoyed it so much. We had a couple nice long dates in the Denver airport during hours-long layovers both coming and going--Our first date started with Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, then Mexican food for lunch, frozen yogurt for dessert, airport shopping, riding the moving walkways back and forth a million times while we scoped out our dining options. It was great!
Our most memorable adventure while traveling was when we turned around mid-flight going from Denver to Montrose. The flight attendant announced/yelled at us that the pilot had just passed her a note saying we were turning around. There was a problem with the plane (PA system stopped working) so we had to go back and board another plane. After we turned around, it was a very bumpy ride back to Denver on this itty-bitty plane. I was grateful we had just done our will and even more grateful when we were back on the ground safely. When we finally got to Montrose we were really grateful that our luggage made it also (several other passengers weren't so lucky). Unfortunately Blake's carseat somehow ended up in Chicago (really?), but we secured a loaner from the airline and then enjoyed the very scenic 1 1/2 hour long drive to Telluride. Traveling with just one child was a breeze, and Blake was such a trooper despite teething, not being able to crawl around, and many missed naps. We missed Josh, Seth, & Annie, but they had a blast staying with our fabulous Foxy friends while we were away.
The wedding and festivities went really well, and it was so much fun being with my family. Telluride is gorgeous. The views and scenery were stunning. And it was so peaceful and quiet. And the fresh, clean air! I loved seeing so many stars in the huge night sky--no city lights drowning them out.
Blake would not leave my drink alone. He kept trying to grab the ice cubes and just wanted to suck on them.

After the 4th
After the weekend with Chris' family, Chris flew home Monday morning to work for the week while the kids and I stayed in Utah to spend time with my family. We had fun with Grandpa and Grandma--going on a picnic and tubing down a little creek at the park on Monday, then going to the dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving Point on Tuesday with lots of cousins. We loved our time with friends and cousins all week long--lots of fun play time! My kids were in heaven. I also took the kids to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple open house which was so great. Chris flew back to SLC on Friday night, and we drove all the way home on Saturday. It was a long day of driving, but the kids did well, and we were grateful for our time with family. I took hardly any pictures, but here are a few with some of the cousins.

The 4th
Last time I posted, we were enjoying our little baby birds. Well we've been doing a little more than birdwatching this past month. It has been super busy but LOTS of fun. We left for Utah on July 2nd and arrived in Enoch around midnight to stay the night with my sister's family before heading all the way up to Utah County on Friday the 3rd. We enjoyed our short time with them and are grateful that Hotel Brown always has a room for us. Friday we drove to Provo, and after a couple of errands there and a quick stop at the Provo Bakery, we headed to Lehi where we had a vacation rental for the weekend. We had a great weekend just relaxing with three of Chris' brothers and their families who also stayed there with us. We didn't take many pictures because we were just enjoying our time together. Wish we were able to get together more often!
On Saturday the 4th we got up early to get to Provo for the Freedom Run that Chris and his brother Mike ran. Way to go guys! The kids and I had a great time cheering them on, despite the chilly and early morning. We loved seeing the hot air balloons also! I love Provo on the 4th!
